I have a set of radials with the 1 inch white walls, 3 are nice and white and one is yellow, after i cleaned that blue **** off i notice it was yellow. is there anything to clean it or is it a bad tire?
Bleach White will dry your whitewalls over time, wich leads to em looking like ****. The best thing Ive ever found for cleaning whitewalls is one of those Mr Clean Magic Eraser's you buy at the grocery store with some mild soap and warm water. Works like a champ every time.
Here we use a red brick with plain soap (pumice stone could be used) just scrub the white wall with soap, you will see the brick/stone acting like a sand paper, then just clean it with a brush and the same soap. It works great, better than all other stuff, try it in a small are and you will be surprised.
Dude I aint getting a brick any where near them high dollar whitewalls, stick with a magic eraser you dont need all the harsh chemicals and voodoo...
Here are the recommendations from Diamondback Radials. A fine or medium sanding sponge works well. Any good cleaner works OK - Castrol Super Clean, 409, Simple Green, Greased Lightning - just to name a few. Avoid cleaners that contain bleach. Prolonged use of these cleaners can “dry” the whitewall surface. Do not use products such as Armor All on whitewall. This could cause slight discoloration. Whitewall surfaces tend to “dry” with time, heat, ozone, etc. A vigorous cleaning periodically will get rid of the dry surface and help maintain the tire’s beauty. Don’t be afraid to scrub.
