Its was kept lubricated and Brian told me his father would spin it a couple a times a year.
When I pulled the factory intake and pan all looked as new. It was super clean. I ran it before I made the parts swap. Had the vette pan cleared the 57 steering I probably wouldn't have changed anything. I had the lift rule/ jr stock cam/lifters/ intake / etc. on shelf and decided why not.
It has Tall 9 fin style with a PCV. Holley street dominator intake dual plane and a 650 dp. Breather on driver side as well. Again I cant see there being any real damage as it still runs and has good power and other than the blow by increase - nothing has changed. We will see when it warms up barely got above freezing here today.

If the valve covers are aftermarket, they probably don't have good baffles in them? Take a look...

Chevy baffles are a work of art, they work well.

Will do. Maybe and that’s a BIG maybe if it warms up today.

Winner winner chicken dinner. And it’s Number 5. I was actually impressed that all the others were above 150. And almost all of them were 180ish. 5 is 40. And it’s pulsing on the blow by. I figure I must have hurt a ring.
Still not smoking At all from exhaust. That’s the part that’s for me stumped. IMG_5818.jpeg

I hope it hasn’t scarred the cylinder. If it hasn’t I’ll hone/put a set of rings in/have heads checked and ride. I have everything in inventory to do so. Again just hope that cylinder isn’t scarred.

Here are the facts as of a few min ago. Even with only 40 in number 5 if I pull the plug wire it still kills that cylinder and it starts to miss. Every cylinder did as expected / what you hoped when plug wire was pulled. I cleaned the plugs quick and put back as was.
I am going to look and see if a bore scope will tell me more.
