If a stripper could stripe, how many stripes could a stripper stripe before she slipped off the the stripper striping pole?......lol.......Seriously.
Gl*** schm***. I have a totally O/T car that I'm proud as can be of. Its gl***, its a sunburn machine, right here in skin cancer central. Drive it, love it, never look back. *****en car.
9,500 will get you a steel roadster body from Brookville. DAM! I sure like this gl*** one for 11K....Job well done gr***hopper!
I love it and definately feel more guys could do a lot with less; I've painted 2 cars with Summit single stage with no clear but, have a minor complaint. Don't everyone rip on me, if you could find the original sparkplug wire protectors that attached to the block shaped like arcs and hide the wires for the front 4 cylinders and use 90* plug ends that would finish off for me. The main thing it to be happy and for me you did that.
nice job statesblue...I built a gl*** 32 also and know what comments come from the ***** mul***ude out there..This hobby of ours is about building what we want and can AFFORD, we all have a picture in our heads of the car we dream about...you now have yours through hard work and sweat equity..stand back and enjoy your work. p.s. can you give me some details on the paint type and primer? I am considering Lombard Blue in a single stage on my 36 pickup and wonder how you liked the single stage. thanks
Lol, maybe you guys up there can,,,, well done champ, great looking car and sorry to here that about your Brother in Law,,
Yup you get a thumbs up from me! Nice work. I built a gl*** roadster years ago , watched the expenses and it turned out great.Think I had about $12000 in it when I finished it. Took to West Yellowstone rod run, Tex Smith was there and invited me into the Rocky Mountain roadster club, because he said it about perfect.
Congrats on a really nice job. I "settled" for a 'gl*** '27 roadster body when I did the same thing. A nasty divorce left me penny-less and in debt so a $350 '27 was all I could afford. Everything else was scrounged, labor-traded, or donated by friends. It kept me busy and happy through a bad time and I ended up with a pretty nice little car like you have. That car was great fun to drive and most of the naysayers changed their tune when they found out it was entirely home built in a single car garage. You and your car's story are what Hot Rodding is supposed to be about so get it out there and drive it with pride, it really is quite an achievement. Like others have said, post more pictures when you can.
What did you do at Yavapai? I work at Arizona Western College in Yuma. I started my modified project around 08 I think. Not even close to being done though. Nice looking roadster!
Very nice looking roadster. You can be proud to answer in the positive when someone asks you if you built it yourself.
I think it is a great build. I love it when people who never had made it a point to badmouth those who have. I can guarantee that leather looks better in there than it did on that rich ladys loveseat in front of the fireplace.Good job ,be proud.
