Anyone? We got to the Deuce show late. We certainly have some incredible 32's in Arizona. Garth Bowie built another incredible hot rod that was there. I don't own a camera that's worth a damn, so I don't take pics. ANYONE have photos from yesterday (SAT. October 25th)? ALSO, anyone go to last nights Nostalgia gig at Firebird? Heard it was really good, kinda ****py track conditions though.....
Had my "50s" survivior, chopped 5W there on a trailer (Still Reviving it) but did not get any pics, was good for the 2nd year, will only get better.
Cool, not sure if I saw it. Did you see the two tone metallic green 5 window (er wuzzit a 3w?!), anyway, blown sbc UNDER the hood top, coke bottle mags and a vette rear? Straight early 70's car! Noticed a billet column drop and ugly wheel, hope it's not getting UPDATED to the 90's!! ha
That Duece of Garth's is incrediable. Have been watchin the build over the past few years, every time I look @ it I find another of Garth's hand made tricks. Unless ya really know 32's you'd miss 75% of the Kool stuff he's done to it.
I went to Firebird. Left about 10:30 as they couldn't keep the track up and it was very far between races. My friend restored the Warren Coburn Miller FED dragster and the new owner had it there. They pulled it to the start line and fired it for a minute or two and shut it down and pulled it down the return road. The Nitro Funnies had a hard time making it down the track taking out several timing cones with their lane swapping techniques but the dragsters seem to do just fine. Course the evening started with a roll over and over and over................ at the top end. Mike
Went to "Arizona Deuce Day 2" on Saturday afternoon, great gathering of 1932 Ford at Sanderson Ford in Phoenix. Over 100 cars show'd. Yes, I agree Garth Bowie built one incredible piece of work, a true craftsman and a great guy.
Arizona Deuce Day was a blast. I thought I was going to have to drive a non-Deuce machine and park outside, but Frank and Howard at Premier Frame and Body busted their buts to surprise me and get my Deuce Tudor (it got crashed on the way home from B'ville) together enough to drive to the show. Man, I was stoked! I took a bunch of pictures, but they are all on 35mm (I'm still stuck in the 20th century), plus I haven't the equipment or the skill to post them any way.
See?! Even though it TOTALLY ****S that your ride got crunched, it's still cool to be able to say "My deuce sedan got crashed on the way home from B'ville"...hahaha I know, I'm twisted, but your car looked awesome Saturday! Those guys did a great job of putting it on the mend!
Jeem, Garth's car was swarmed, so the pictures are not the greatest. Any other cars you want to see? -Ryan .
I was out of town for the first one. This one was great but I forgot to bring my camara. Hope they do it again next year.
Thanks RYAN! Ain't that car neat?! A sketch? Howzabout on a convenient ****tail napkin.....you buy, I draw!!
