Ignore the music if it’s not your taste. It’s not mine either. But Dad likes the style, and sent me this because of the car in it. It’s not Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Nash, Packard, or Willys. What is it? Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yep Ford Pilot. Brass windscreen chrome plated that fitted an American 36 sought after part out here. Also from memory had something weird like hydraulic front brakes and cable rears.
English, Ford V8 Pilot.. I heard the running gear was from surplus WW2 V8 engines.. Anyone know if this is correct???
221 cubic inch...very early flat head......from the B pilar forward is supposed to be 35/36 ford....... i ha heard it said that after the war and because england was so badly bombed that america gave them sections of the above cars and they built on the rest.....that is the story i have heard from a few sources....never been verified tho
I liked the music! Kinda English early C and W. Late at night, all alone in a bar and feeling sad for yourself.
Since we're on a musical vein, here's a video of a Rocket 88, the first rock and toll song AND Betty Page putting on stockings and getting dressed.
Ford pilot made from 47-51 English car but Australia had them too. Never owned 1 as they have to many doors only 4 doors here in the uk Australia had pickups which were pretty cool they made woodies as well. I've seen pics of a few hotrod pilots but think they look out of proportion apart from this 1
Ah, thanks. No wonder I couldn’t figure out what it was. It looked foreign, but I kept looking at 1930s cars and not finding anything. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
