I've been loitering here for a couple of weeks with my mouth shut and fingered it's about time to post. I'm a 38 year old father of two boys (2 & 3 years old) who moved from N.J. to Colorado Springs about a year and a half ago. I sold my '56 F-100 before the move, knowing that Id be looking for something that would accommodate the family after I got here. We took a bigger hit than Id anticipated (big surprise) and are just now starting to get back on our feet. Ill be looking for a driver/project in a little while something older in a sedan I think. Who knows what Ill really end up with? Thats really about it for now. Let the Good Times Roll.
I'm sure the boys up there in Coors Country can help ya find a project, hang around and you'll see. Brrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!
Good to see someone new from the Springs on here. Do you get out to cruise night on Saturday nights out on Powers and Constitution? You should get up to the Streamline show this weekend, they know how to throw a party! See ya around. sled
Thanks for the greetings All. 52PlyBizCoup: Awesome Shot!! The one thing I removed from the 56 and brought with me was the thrower set-up... hehehe. There's a couple more pics and an mpeg video at http://www.flyingmelons.com/JDM/56Ford/ Sled: ' didn't know about Saturdays at Powers & Constitution. I'll be at the next one! As far as the Streamline event, Where and When?!
The cruise night is actually happens in the late afternoon. You'll see a bunch of cars in the Grocery Warehouse parking lot. Usually they start getting there about 5:00 or so and start to leave when it starts to get dark. The Streamline event is this Sunday up in Denver. It starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. The food and beer are both free and it's a killer time. There was a post on here I believe. If you can't find it pm me and I'll get the address for you. If there's anything else I can help you with don't hesitate to ask. sled
