Bob.. I'm not really sure , But they are Motorcraft. With a squirel cage type fan of about 6" in dia,. The actual mounting plate is about maybe 10" in dia. I had to chuck it up in the lathe and cut the large dia mount off, Left about 1/2" ring around it to mount it on a bracket..Hope this helps..**** M BTW.. If you want, I'll check tomarrow, And see if I can find any markings or numbers on them that might help...
Well engine and trans went into the ch***is for the first fit..Everything looks pretty good, Only a couple of fixits to do. Then will start on the necessary linkage etc..Finally its starting to look like a HOT ROD...
I don't do pictures very well.. But will give it a go on Monday..Now I'll have to send them all the way to Arkansas to get them posted..hehehehe...
Aw maaan, chrome rocker box and side covers. We don't have a snowball's chance now ........ Thingy, that's looking nice. Can hardly wait to see'er in the "flesh". You going to be at Butch's in April? ps. The pictures traveled well .......
Nice little engine, Thingy! I really like the "aluminum" head. Big performance gain with that rare factory piece! LOL!
My color scheme is going to be Midnight Blue and silver. So with the Ford blue engine I had to have a silver head..The engine is ready to fire, Except I still have to make the headers and put some carbs together The body skins are complete but still need to make the one behind the seat. But thats easy. ****,, Im sure hoping to...Thanks for the good words.. And Thank you Randy...
Well,,, Throttle and clutch linkage in the works. Will have Clutch stuff done today...Slowly but Surely....**** M
It doesn't look like the car will be ready for the ANRA opener or the Dragfest. I just can't work as fast as you youngins can.. Plus I've had a couple of set backs.. But I guess thats just the way it goes..It will be finished, Just not sure when,,,,
Try my fifteen minute per day rule: Work on the car for at least fifteen minutes each day. Even if all you do sometimes is stare at it, it will eventually get done.
Hey ****, I can come down some days and/or evenings during the week if it'll help. Tuesdays and weekends are out but other than that I'm game.
Thanks **** for the offer. But you can drop by anytime. Not necessary to do work. I really need some incouragement..Right now I'm just frustrated. If you would like. Just give me a call. (562) 843-7499.. thats my cell phone. But "Old deaf guy" sometimes doesn't hear it ring. Leave a message and I'll get back ASAP.. Again thanks for the offer..**** M
I think I will, I'll give you a call Monday. Shall I bring a pint or two of "encouragement"? (just kidding, I drink Dr. Pepper)
Do that Richard.. Just don't call before 5:30 am.. Come on by. You are welcome anytime..Dr,Pepper,, Thats made from prune juice. No wonder yo.....Oh never mind... **** M...
Sounds like the man drinks the best there is. I do also. If you ever get a chance, order some from the plant in Texas, it is still made the old fashioned way and there is a big difference. I don't know about the prune juice, but it has just the right amount of caffiene.
Yeah, I got the addiction back when I was in Texas as a kid before they went national, green bottles and all. The first time we came to SoCal I could only get it at a couple small ma & pa stores owned by ex-patriot Texans who had it shipped out by friends. That's a fact. ps. The 16oz plastic bottles are still filled in Dallas, and yes, there is a difference. No sweat ****, 0530's the middle of my night, I seldom get to bed before 0100.
****.. The only reason for the 5:30 deal is,, My wife will answer the phone and be cranky. Even might hang up on ya..hehehehe
Well, Old 6 showed up at the shop today. Alot of BS,ing went on. Got tired of that, So we went to lunch..He did do one thing that has been driving me up a tree.. He fixed my brakes.. Thanks ****.. Come back anytime your in the neighborhood.. **** M
Yeah, it was amazing how many of the world's problems we solved just kicked back in those chairs. Damn, we're good. Got to see the little Chebbie motor up close and even got to pet the rocker box. ****'s car is defifitely going to be light, I really like the frame rails material (and their story ). Had a good time visiting, I'll do it again.
Got all my frontend parts back today from the powdercoaters. Not what i really wanted for being silver. But I guess its better than rattle can. Especially with me doing it..
