Here is why I have seldom been here lately. Where to start, I now have her home as of tonight. I have a lot of work left to do in the next 3 weeks before the show I am taking her to. First, a pic of the ****** mount next to the old one.

Next, the parts to make my steering column. It's out of the Datsun B210 I stripped of all the e**ess. The piece of pipe covers the key hole and lust smooths things out between the wheel and the drop. The black steering wheel adapter cover is to be flipped backwards, the center hole opened up to seat on the pipe. It has a slightly smaller OD than the old chrome cover I am using. The Chrome one slides over to make a fully covered wheel adapter.

Olsen cut up my 36"long straight header because it was in the way of the new steering. I had to weld it back together with my beginner skills. Here is the results.

The fit past the steering. The new column comes though the firewall a lot lower than the old one.

Hey, you wouldn't happen to have any pics of the bumpers you plan on running would you? [IMG]
I sure would be interested in seeing them.

We loaded it up after work, and stopped at the local cruise night to show of Olsen's work. Remember, I'm just the extra hands at his shop. He has the mad skills.

Not a good one. I will take a pic tomorrow. I cut them in 2 places when I narrowed them, and will cover the welds with the VW overriders. I did them this way to avoid having to get them rechromed.

They are Morris Minor units. The front will be on the rear, because they wrap around the side more. They wrap to the wheelwell just like the rear on the front. (confused?) I will add a pic of my other car with the stock bumper, it'll look kinda similar.

Thanks Nori, I was just typing and that's what I came up with. I will have to remember the correct spelling.

I haven't put the purple feul line in it. That's the plug wires you see. I am going to paint the engine purple too. And the interior, and the windows, and the tires, and the driveway it sits in, and myself. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I've had this 10" deep dish wheel forever. I have been trying to find one a little bigger with less dish. I'm just using this one for now.
