YIKES! Flathead Head Milled Backwards

As has already been said, it has been done for a long time.

And Norman Frick still makes killer two piece heads.

 

If you want a surprise measure the length
of the exhaust passages for the end cylinders.
They seem to be about 1 1/2 times as long as
the middle ports.
Then put your finger into the end exhaust port.
The port ends in a blind spot. The exhaust goes
straight into the block wall then out the hole. It
must make crazy heat. It is really hard to
imagine it working at all. Truly an amazing
engine.
