fraid that's all the pix.......but there were only about 100 cars and 200 bikes or so......but I might see if I can find some of the freakier pix from last year's outdoor show to post on here too.
I learned that word in fast in the furious 3 tokyo drift! seriously,,without sounding to corny..after watching that movie, i would really like to visit there one day..
but presented by Mooneyes, right?????? it was outdoor and got rained out this year check Mooneyes Japan's website (select English)
dunno if mooneyes does it. the official site is hard to get through but there are pictures here http://www.sparetime.jp/photo/ seems it went off without a hitch.
On any given night in Shibuya, you will see evrything from that movie....except cars - oldskool or dorrifto "Lost in Translation" is VERY real too!
I'll get my **** gf to translate some of that tomorrow so I can see where it was, but it looks like pretty much ALL those bikes were at the Mooneyes show this weekend...with the same displays
I am a BAD influence? ha - MARK is the bad influence!!!! That boy dragged me to Shibuya and we sat down to a nice japanese traditional meal and he strikes up conversation with some japanese girls!!! HE is the bad influence - I dont speak japanese - HE does......... so if there are guys on the HAMB that wanna go and have some fun in japan - hook up with Markinjapan - he will show you the sights and possibly introduce you to some girls......... it should be noted that we did NOT leave with those girls ah but I may be cramping Markinjapan's style here - so I will leave it with - I am happily married and dont wanna do anything that would be construed otherwise! had a great time and Hemidave was a supercool cat as well - also really good to be able to talk to Mr Weesner and Mr Scratch (or is that Skratch) - all in all a great show and hope to be back there next year............. Highlights for me were getting to meet Nash finally - super cool guy - getting Mr G to do some art for me - and just enjoying the show and all the nice people. Very different crowd from the toy shows that I do over there - let's just say at the toy shows - there are a LOT more fat balding guys - at this show the crowd was more hip and the tattoo factor was about 98% higher I will be posting my pix soon!
wow... the scene with full customs seems more in-depth with their metal-flake and painting techniques! the good ol' rods are about the same... and that is some pretty cool looking pinstriping by the way Mark in Japan... bad*** truck!
That makes two of us.My cousin is stationed over there in Japan not sure exactly where he is though I bet he has been up to no good...
And some character named HemiDave??????? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=226864 PS...where was I while you were taking all those pix of girls, boys and others?????????
So guys who wuz there, ...I was waaaaaaay too busy having a good time to notice myself........was it actually a "GOOD SHOW"?????????
You rang? Otscotasama des!! I took most of my pics during the breaks from hanging out in John's Rat Fink Haven. I have about 15 pics of me and various girls there that laughed at my shirt. Laugh at my shirt, gotta take a pic with me!! My shirt says, "Looking for a Japanese girlfriend'! But it must be broken...... Dave
Racist f*ckwits everywhere in the world.........most don't outbid me for cool old cars on epay, so not my problem too often...but then Im not real small either btw...most of those pix were for "hostess bars" where Japanese guys pay $100 an hour for stupid young *****es (locals, russian ex-smackheads & phillipinas) to chat and laugh at their jokes ONLY (NO ***)......OFCOURSE they dont want foreigners in there laughing at them; they get enough of that when they go to Hawaii and wear "Speedos" to the beach!
btw.....I just got home from the DICE MAGAZINE party at a bar in Shibuya, Tokyo...I took some snaps with my cellphone but they all look too fuzzy to post..but it may be just coz I got too hammered
so how was the Dice party - was there a bunch of people there - were they on their rides? many gaijin?
"pray for me" Dave and the two guys from Dice plus one of their 'chums' from England and me plus about twenty of the coolest J-bikers and their gals stuffed into a bar with room for about 10 people, plus Goshu and a few of the Mooneyes guys with some ******** old roadsters parked in the sidestreet, driven 15 miles there from Yokohama in 4 degrees sorry about the fuzzy little pix...I was a little fuzzy from Jack Daniels but had a ball talking to some way cool locals.....as I recall, it was all about using some Mitsubishi bit as a MAGNETO....I dunno...ask the Dice guys!
