Ohio Does.....Ohio is a Two plate State but in the case of Year Plates they only require one on the rear. Ebay is a great place to get plates in great condition, Cheap.

    That'sa yes for Michigan.

$35.00 regstration fee for life of the car. Also if your insured as YOM/antique/historical vehicle it saves you the Michigan Catastophic Claims charge on your "collector cars". Think it saves about $135.00 per vehicle per year. See Hagerty or one of the others for info on this.

Washington does, I think if the car is thirty years old or older and no further licensing is required, no yearly renewal.

CO allows it, and if you have a military vehicle, you can use the original markings. but you still have to carry a plate

Not if you tell them up front. I do know of a Maryland model A with 1958 YOM plates. The lady at the counter didn't catch it. He didn't volunteer it. He already had it registered with the historic plates. He just added the 58 plates to its Vin# for the YOM registration card. You may not be so lucky.

Unless they've changed recently NJ does NOT have YOM.

Arizona does allow them. The DMV has to check their files to make sure there isn't another vehicle with the same number. The colors of the plate have to be the same as that year's original colors. Arizona only requires one plate on the rear of any registered vehicle.

Car has to be 25 years old... or older. Basically a replacement for your historic plate. You just fill out a different part of that form and send a few more dollars. The office in Jefferson City is pretty helpful with running number to see if they are in use too. (because they obviously can't be in use)

The problem you run into is those older numbers are issued to trailers here in MO. Have a great set of Missouri '32 tags but someone is already using the numbers.

  24. Connecticut allows it. They even allowed my father in law to run the European plates that came on his 52 Bentley.

Kansas allows them too. I think you have to sign an affadavit form with the KS Department of Revenue stating the plate's year and plate #.

CT allows it for vehicles 25+ years old. First you have to get 'early american' plates (classic car plates), and pay the fee for those. Then fill out a 2nd form to run YOM. Then keep the early american plates somewhere in the car.

Here's a sneak way to get a YOM plate in CO. Never been stopped. A CHP thought it was really clever. The car has a bonded title and is listed as a 2000 homebuilt
