What up? New here, obviously. I love anything with a motor and at least one wheel on it. From rats (flat black is done btw) to rods (I dont consider the "Boydsters" hotrods, or anything that you pay someone else $500k to build and have no clue how to do anything on it except turn the key) I have a '65 Cadillac that Im working on as well as a '72 CB 350 and I dont really have any idea what the hell I'm doing on either. I do love working on my own **** though so Im counting on some good advice from here. Thanks!!

Rats? Not Here. Flat black? Mmm, do a search you may find your at***ude to that not always welcome. 65 and 72, bit beyond the scope of this board. Welcome, but spend some time studying what this board is really about.

Apparantly you misunderstood me. I AGREE that everybody and their dad has mindlessly and completely uncreatively painted their vehicle with flat black paint, thus completely destroying any kind of uniqueness that rat/hot/street rods are supposed to be about. I am also aware that my ride is probably 30 years newer than most of the stuff on here. I happen to enjoy driving something that you probably wont see that more than one of in a 50 mile radius, also like most of you guys. I didnt plan on nor do I expect to be accepted by a lot of you guys on here, of course once again not desiring to be accepted by the common group also seems to be a common trait a****st hot rod guys, I simply hoped that sharing in these comonalities would, if not anything else, occasionally allow me to request advice from the collective genius of people that populate this forum seing as how, at least where I live anyway, theres not many folks left that you can talk to in person when you need some info in a hurry. Hope you dont mind. :)

65Cadirat, that X38 dude gave me an even worse welcome, don't let him bum you out. I'm in the same boat as you, enthused, excited, and apparently we as the FNG's are jack-***es... ...lol...

Build your ****, have a good time, and show us some work. :) Pictures help qualify who you are and what you do.

Word. Thanks for the kind word folks! And I know youre right flh4speed. I love it all, Im just here to learn and the only way to do that is to f*@k a lot of stuff up first. I hold the older stuff the dearest though and I just dont have the heart to "learn" on something with such potential. I dont want to be "that guy", ya' know? Anyway....
