  2. Looking great Christie! Just so the folks know here;Christie has been building hot rods(and customs)for a VERY long time.He did the body work on the chopped 54 Chevy I owned(originally by Paul O'Neal);in fact when I bought it(traded it actually for a Delco AM/FM radio for a Studebaker),the car was buried under Christie's garage complete with a gazillion white-faced hornet's nests.
Here's a couple of his older vehicles:the 33 sedan and his Model A truck done a bunch of years ago.

I had a 29 frame, was given a junk 65 Chevy Van, scrounged the front and rear axles, FREE, was given a 2001 wrecked Jeep with a 2.5 4banger/5sp trany so some new gaskets and seals, and a few parts from Pete & Jakes. and i'll soon have a nice little 29 Pk Up, for few bucks. Using lots of old parts that were just laying around. Not much chrome but should be a great runner. My cab is original, no rust and I will set it on the new frame set up some primer and away we go. yes there were some problems
i had to channel the cab about 4 inches so that i could move it back far enough for the wheels to fit the fender opening-also grind the front of the steering box some to clear the fender & grille --only radiator i could find was a fiero but i had to angle it to clear the hood---had to use a 4 cylinder power stering pump with remote tank to fit between the fenders--i also used the s10 pedal assy--used reverse rims to clear bed sides & widen front wheel distance--as far as width i didnt narrow the frame --my floor was totally rotted away so i dont remember or know if i spread the body but i did rework the bottom of my doors to clear the frame--i did shortened the framein the middle & ends too--the biggest mistake i made was USUING A BODY THAT WAS SO ROUGH THAT THE TERMITES WERE HOLDING HANDS KEEPING IT TOGETHER --even tho i got the body for free i would have been way ahead of the game buying a mint one--ill post more pictures if you want em
