Posted this earlier and got no responses. Anybody ever seen one or heard of this club? Mid-west maybe? Terry
No man---that was the diciples, they had a cat drop out of the club. Then They later formed the Apostles. They had chapters in Judea, Samara, then they went international.
btt for the weekend detectives....... http://www.relicsandrods.com/carclubplaques.htm has a great collection of plaques but nothing on this. Maybe, as has been suggested, the group from Judea? Who was the 10th Apostle? Terry
I saw that on ebay and from the looks of it, doesn't appear to be a car plaque. Seems to be a plaque found on a church or monument.
Got to disagree. It has the number 10 in the lower right hand corner, just like smaller clubs would do to Identify their members. Two holes are the same distance apart as my '31 Ca. license plates. Plaques mounted to a stone or wood building would most likely have 4 holes, a hole in each corner to mount. . Back says Chicago Metal Craft Port Chicago Calif, these were probably the largest producers of car club plaques back "in the day". I think "Apostles" would be a natural club name in the venue of "Saints", "Sinners", "Devils"," Angels" etc. Really cool if they only allowed 12 in .... Terry
