  6. I'm a Southerner and I don't have a clue as to what your talking about, but if it has something to do with eating well, there is plenty of smoked ham & turkey to last us for days. HRP

Sort of an abbreviated Christmas here...still dealing with a broken ankle...but still a good one anyway. I do like the "getting waited on" part though.:D Ham for dinner...and maybe I'll even get a sponge bath later:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Merry Christmas to all you HAMBers

Ham? Beef? I thought this was a "traditional" forum! I've been cooking the "old bird" at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and occasionally at Easter for fourty years since if you want something done right... Quiet Christmas here with wife and son; trying to be upbeat but when depression hits we all get down. Going to have a good meal later but first were waiting to Zoom our daughters family as the wee one opens up the gifts from Nona and Grandpa as her first shift focussed on those from Santa!

Jean said it is ham and beef with a turkey breast on the side this year.

I'd say that Nunattax Sat down to a fine plate of what we know as corned beef and a pretty decent bottle of wine. Not a bad feast. Being a Davison my ancestry tracks back to Ireland on my father's side.

I think that "tucking into spiced beef" means biting into SOS and "sipping on a chateauneuf-du-paps" has something to do with Pabst Blue Ribbon. Just a guess.

Power went out at 3:30 in the morning rain and wind, back on at 3:10 in the afternoon. Slow start of the day, must be 2020. Merry Christmas!
