Chad, it was/is a wicked winter down here in DFW too... we are still coated in ice, pipes frozen on the north side of the house... But you are getting closer... good luck getting to paint on time! go go go ...

Thanks I'm really trying, just being stuck in the house the last 3 day is cramping my deadline!!!

  4. But thats an old vintage car, that wont be any good at Bonneville!!?? You need Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang!!

Good luck, hope you make it and come home with a record at least;).

yeah if you didn't have to make a parts run and had a nice heater you could really make some headway being snowed in like this. I drove through snow tunnels yesterday 5' tall on each side where plows had made one pass in the rural areas here

Yeah! Learning to TIG weld at the same time. Going to pick up the radiator in a few minutes. Should be able to run that Hemi again before too long! WOOHOO!

    Keep goin' buddy!

I think you can do it if you have a running motor & trans. The '31 in my avitar was built in 7 Saturdays after I had the body sitting on a TCI chassis. Make a list, with priorities to make the car start, stop & run. Then a second list of stuff if you have enough time. With 3 friends help & 7 Saturdays, we built a car that was reliable enough to drive from San Jose to Bonneville & back without a single problem. The plan is now to tear it apart for the second phase & back to Bonneville.
    Good luck,
    Don

Oooooh tig welding is fun!!! That's how I welded my headers up... it was a blast! I bought a miller tig, older one, from a friend I have yet to stop to get it hooked up. it's just setting, but I'll get it running soon probably after this coupe is finished and start using it, Pop's wants stainless exhaust on his 47 chevy so that'll probably be the first project!! :D

Just about got the driver door all buttoned up. Had to replace 3/4 of the pinch molding around the window, then filled in the gap from splitting the top.

Wow Chad, looking great bud! Really like the back window, the profile really matches well with the side glass, + you'll be able too see out of it!

Very cool that you now have a surplus for your bead repairs. Keep going man, you're making great progress

The stance is spot on. Everything looks sweet! I definitely have faith you'll make it.

Didn't see elsewhere in the thread but what's the planned drivetrain setup?
