The Blue 3-window on the cover of PHR was my Dad's old car. It was black when he sold it back in the late 80's. Its still around so-cal but you would'nt recognize it unless you knew it was the car. still has the 348 in it though.

I added a picture of his current 32

My favorite deuce of all time would be Harry Luzader's five-window coupe gasser, followed by Larry Teter's Vicky and Chet Herbert's sedan (which has already been pictured above).

I am really digging the White Full Fendered 5w from the Washington State area. Had red wheels with polished stainless caps and a weathered paint job. That thing is awesome!

  20. Actually we were on our way to Snohomish, WA to surprise my old Army buddy Tom by arriving unannounced at his door and calling him on my cell phone to tell him he had just won the $10 mil Publisher Clearing House Prize and he should come out and see the Prize Patrol van! - in the tradition of surprise visits I've kept going with him for 35 years! We had come out of the LA Roadster Show and driven the entire US-1 Pacific Coast Highway right through San Fran on up to Coo's Bay where we turned into I-5 because we were out of time (and tired of driving in the trees) and wanted to make it to his house by Friday night. I had him so pissed on the phone until he came outside and saw it was me! Priceless! Although I've been through there a few times I've never made it to Brizio's shop but I'd like to see it sometime. Now that I'm retired and don't run on a deadline anymore I'll have to check it out someday. Vern Tardel's shop is one place I won't miss though, I've made it there just once so far.

This is Vern after we showed up!:D

    I love 32 Fords!

Favorite past 32's: Russell Desalvo's black 3-window (the paint looked like a mirror!), Gary Kessler's roadster, Bob McGee's roadster (the one on the L.A. Roadsters logo), Eastwood & Bakarat's highboy sedan !!

Present: the one "Hot Turkey" is building on these boards...........although I do like the one I am driving right now, too.

  28. Couldn't argue with any of the choices!

I didn't see Lloyd Bakan's coupe mentioned yet, but it's the one that started things for me. :)

    Past:

And, I have to say mine because 50 years of dreamin', savin', and sweatin'; and 50 years after Mr. Bakan made the cover of Hot Rod, I got mine on the road.

Alright. My favorite '32 ever was Hammer Hanks roadster. Always had a blast in that car. A close second was Josh Shaws sedan when it had the moon discs and Schlames. And just recently I saw the "restored" roadster of Walker Morrison. Thats my favorite "old" one. That roadster is stunning.

  30. Terrific! Thanks for these. I have used the last shot as my screen saver for about 5 years now, but hadn't seen the others. Geez what a beautiful car!
