Say that tongue twister five times fast. I was going to call this thread five favorite Ford fuel coupes because most all my favorites are '34 Fords but you can pick any five you like.... in no particular order. Burkholder Bros. Hayer & Koulan Ben Rizzio Mooneyham &Sharp K & G Speed Shop (Same car I think)
OK, I’ll play, here’s my five picks. Don Montgomery’s fuel coupe Jim Miles in the Magic Muffler Fiat 1968 Indy Nationals champ Gabby Bleeker Mondello’s Porting Service Chevy big block car Fantasia Willys coupe, never a F/A standout but still a cool car
Mooneyham & Sharp 554 15 oz. coupe Gabby Bleeker's Austin Terry Frost's A sedan Thurmon Brothers roadster (not a sedan or coupe but still an AA/FA) View attachment 5594283
Yeah...I was scratching my head yesterday ,and now today too..! I thought most of the ladys here knew the difference between Altereds, Coupes and...Roadsters ! Of course I guess, the big (Coupes) cars are actually...Altereds...BUT...Roadsters? Mike
What do you mean about ….”the difference between Altereds, Coupes and….Roadsters !” Are you suggesting that coupes and roadsters never ran together in the Altered cl***? Fantasia was a big and heavy coupe but it was a fuel car and with more than a 10% set-back, no front brakes, no headlights or grille even if it had run on gasoline it didn’t fit gas cl*** rules. The set-back I can’t say if that is 25%, but for sure it’s more than the 10% that Gas cl*** allowed.
I'm pretty sure I can't come up with five more than you guys already listed. But I can think of one. Haven't seen him around for a while... But I think HAMB member Beep's 430 MEL powered Gizzle Hopper is pretty cool.
Maybe reread the thread ***le..!! It says...Fuel Coupes... Nothing about Roadsters ! And thanks for the interior pictures of the Fantasia Mike
Marty, it took them 3 more years to destroy the Street Roadster/G***er clases. "No Hot Rods Allowed" indeed.
