In the current May issue of Hot Rod Deluxe, there is an article on old car dealership tags/emblems.

I thought it would be interesting to start a similar photo-thread of the dealership tags on our cars and any history that is known about them.

So I will start off with my newest project a 1965 Falcon Futura...

Dale’s Ford Sales was the only Ford dealership in Winters, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]</st1:State>Texas from about the early-1960’s until sometime in the 1970’s. The owner was Dale Whitecotton. It was located on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Main Street</st1:address></st1:Street> in a building now occupied by Dollar General.

I bought my '05 convertible from what used to be BOB FORD on Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. It's now Fairlane Ford. It changed hands in the late '70's or early '80's.
