Around 84 85 my brother and I drove from Macan Gorgia to Fremont California in a 65 Corvair, 19 hours the first day made it to Witchata Falls Texas. Got to see the Mississippi for the first time and it was all mud. Two flats and and one burned valve but we made it.
I have driven my 48 coupe from Portland to Bakersfield and back and also to Paso and back and Pleasanton and back and Paso and back and BP and back and drive it to the coffe shop and back. I guess I drive it back and forth a lot....Danny

Back in '93 I was returning stateside from the UK, I was in the Air Force. Anyways, I brought an old Mini Clubman wagon back with me. I had it shipped I should say. Drover her from the docks in NJ to Las Vegas, NV where I was getting stationed. Matt black, of course! Had a tuned 1300cc with a straight pipe. Stopped in MI to visit the folks.
It was really funny. First off it was in Jan and it was a blizzard in the NE. So I was snowed in for a day. Then when I went to the docks, I was told the car had to be towed off the ship. So we went out and I said, well let me give it a crank so I can start to diag. So sit down and two dock workers that were with me were standing outside and I pull the choke.... Whats that they ask!?? Well, needless to say she fired right off! After MI I took the southern route through TX, NM and AZ into NV. Pretty uneventful, replaced the vacuum advance in MI and filed the points in AZ.
    Fun cars!
