I would say one to two inches would look awesome.... Cool little coop! The black trim really gives it a more finished look... me likey!

 

Leave it. Looks great as it sits. If it's boring you, look at lowering it, painting it, or redoing the interior, something new to work on.

 

I just finished a car with a four inch chop that started out as an eight inch chop...fortunately the guy that did the whack job saved the pieces!!...

Four inches doesn't leave nearly as much room inside as you might think, but it kinda sounds like you already have your mind made up so here's some advice.

Watch your head getting in and out.

Get used to driving with your head slightly leaned over to the passenger side to get a clear view out the windshield...it's an unconscious thing...happens to a lot of guys. Carry some Advil on long trips.

Save the pieces you cut out...hopefully you saved the first ones. And remember. Unchopping a roof is a lot messier than chopping a roof
