Long story short, I love my cats. I call my roadster the Cat Rod (like rat rod but…you get it). A while back I lost my girl Sasha and it kinda broke me. She was a tortie and had this one foot with different colored toes…so I got a plain white shift knob, made a paw pattern and carved it into the knob, then painted the toes like her foot.

Now there's something I never thought I'd see on an US rod... a cricket ball. Perhaps we should invite you guys to join us and our English mates for the Ashes series :D

    Cheers,

My dad was a WWII vet and served on Guadac**** and Merrills Marauders. The Merrills Mauders were awarded a Congressional Gold Medal in 2022. I got got one of the gold coins from my older brother for Christmas and had Lucky Burton do a shift knob with it for my Model A. marauder.jpg

I've said here n there around this joint that one of my "hooks" is different shift knobs when I show up. Here's a few made ready over time. Some resins and a legit grenade, along with another devil head from a biker dude in NY. And I have more in the pipeline (go figure).

And I made this from a ball I got from an antique mall for $1, but I don't like driving with it as much:

I have the same 6-ball on my off topic daily driver. I've made several shift knobs from pool balls over the years. Always a good conversation starter.

Funny you would show a golf ball, I found one in my yard and stuck it on the homemade shiftier rod when I was building the wagon. HRP
