34 Ford Pickup in my possession for over twenty years. Built a bunch, worked on a lot more, just keep overlooking this one.

My case of salt fever has flared up again and both of these are not as interesting as they once were, both for sale.

  4. While I have been battling a lot of health problems this year I've been toying with the idea of building a mild street car/gasser looking '54 Ford coupe, I have located a reasonable priced rolling project, I have a engine & transmission and honestly think I can do it going slow and hitting the swap meets and the Hamb classifieds.

I'm messing around with two distractions and an off topic race car. She's in storage waiting her turn. IMG_0831.jpg

I took this apart 13 years ago to paint it...

And now it's still sitting in the back corner getting more and more buried

my son Joshua's 57 ford wagon. he died in 2007 and before he died he took the car apart to redo it. I traded our 60 caddy to Josh's boss to do the body n paint but he never did anything to it. He got the caddy and I was lucky to get the 57 back. now it just sits in my garage and i have no desire to do any work on it. I wish I did but I just don't. Here is Josh in 2002 when he was 16 and then when he was 19 284216_10150276959104917_1982694_n.jpg 438264613_10161692012289917_199438815701784598_n.jpg 438302946_10161692011924917_5281623479081114362_n.jpg 440478205_10161692012699917_6350004482330645974_n.jpg 440440361_10161692012774917_4401166760933407498_n.jpg

Sorry for your loss of your son, the “ person” that employed him sounds like a total dirt bag

    My condolences , RIP Josh.
I also lost a child, my daughter in 21. I’ve been working on an OT car that was kinda of our project. Some days Heather’s spirit prompts me to work on the car some days some days not. I try to envision what she would do or say as I’m doing something on the car. Heather was a very good artist, when I finish the paint I will try to replicate some of her art work somewhere on the car. Hopefully you will become inspired to work on the wagon, everything in its own time.
Take care my prayers are with you and your family.

Ratster and sharpone, my condolences on losing a child. That would be devastating for sure. Would be nice to have a Hamb garage squad that goes around helping others that are stalled, or it’s too emotionally painful to work on a project by yourself. That show has helped a lot of people with similar situations.

I understand your pain @ratster. My youngest son passed in 2015. I guess I should feel lucky though, I had my son for approx 15 years more than you had yours. My JR was in is 30's. So, setting in my garage is his 50 Olds. I'm sure I'll get around to it sometime. Retirement is only a couple years away, hopefully time will loosen up them.

Don’t tap out, you’ve made a lot of progress...
Was the motor running ok when you pulled it?
