just bought a set for my 56 F100 and they arrived today. Man on man.... I am not sure how they are going to fit, but they ***ured me they will. I have a 390 in my 56 and its tight. 1st thing I see.... looks like the collector is gonna hit my started.... we'll see. Next.... looks like the collector is going to hit my motor mount.... again... we'll see. Its hard to see how they will work, but until I take the old cast manifolds off, I will never know.

    Here's hoping!

the FH1 tube headers I bought for my 53 ford Flathead were unusable. The only thing I gained from buying the headers was the material to build my own set. The headers not only needed to be redirected to dump in the right place they also needed the flange holes moved to get the bolts started into the block. After rebuilding the headers I through the Sanderson tag in the trash.

  3. I put a set of Sanderson Stainless Steel "shorty" headers on a 1931 Ford Tudor sedan with / 350/350 in 1979. I still have the car and it has about 15,000 miles on it (it still gets awards) and because the coloring has turned to more of a brown color which is typical of stainless steel I just sent them back to Sanderson to have them ceramic coated at today's cost (2018) of $180. Except for the color they are in perfect condition. I truly believe that it is just too expensive to buy cheap. With many other headers I would have had to replace them at lest twice. Quality is worth the price and in the long term less expensive.

Bought two sets of Sanderson headers. One for a 33ply that they had to be modified to fit, and one for a 1956 ford pickup with a 454 which fit perfectly. Would buy from them again!

I put Sanderson block huggers on my 348 in my 34 Ford pickup. Fit like a glove. Best fit headers I ever bought.

I've owned 3 sets and sealed them all as recommended with high temp RTV. No problems ever. Just do it.

I just bought a set of Sanderson block huggers from Hot Heads for the 330 Desoto engine going in my 41 ford truck. Came with a very nice ceramic coating. Great product.

BB, Have you tried to bolt them on? Mine will have to have about half the holes tweaked to line up. Sanderson said if I wanted to ship them back at my expense, that they "would take a look at them". BS!!

I will have the long block home in a week or so. I'll mount them up and double check them.

Had a few sets and high quality and no fitting issues on the old ford. I believe they also make the ford motor sport headers. If not they are exact copy in the bends and where they dump

The only ones that offered block huggers for a 460 with SCJ heads for my '32. Ceramic coated looks good, fits well. A bit pricey, but when it's not a common app, you will pay more. At least SOMEONE made them.

Think this thread is 7 years old , that being said I bought a set for a 392 in a t bucket. They looked great out of the box but couldnt put them on as they tucked under the frame and hit the ground. They sent me a new set a week later and I got to keep the ones that fit wrong, they hung on the wall for years.
