Yvonne De Carlo / Lily Munster Dead at 84

She didn't go out in the sun....she was living here in Solvang for awhile and wehnever I saw her she was covered up and wearing big hats...she said her skin was sensitive to the sun....My brother and his friend used go mow her lawn when they were younger. I thought she was still around here but I guess she passed away in L.A.

Thats a real shame, got the episode of The Munsters where Herman & Grandpa go Drag racing on my iPod at the mo....also her son was on TV this evening, he presents "Taste of America" on the Travel Channel.

you got it right about carolyn jones too benzine, i think it was my childhood infatuations with those two that have made me the dark weirdo i am today

When I was a kid in the 60's I ran home from school and did my homework watching the Munsters, probably where I got my car craze from. My first model cars were the Munster Mobile and the Coffin dragster. And yeah, she was always hot.

Wow, she was a definite beauty! She sang as well, starting out as a chorus girl in the late '30's. She actually had an album out Yvonne De Carlo Sings, released in 1957. How's this for a Valentine?:

My kids bought me the Munsters Collection,DVDset. I cherish it. It's sad to lose someone we grew up watching. I always liked the episode when they dressed up as a Knight and Little Bo Peep,to go to Eddies friends Halloween Party,and the kids parents were dressed as Frankinstein and Lilly. Memories. RIP Lilly.

 

Love Lilly, but Carolyn Jones a played a nymphomaniac in the 1950's movie 'Batchelor Party'. That swung it for me.....
