I wonder if we’ll start seeing a bunch of startups building small production runs of AI inspired designs. With all the current tech available, it might be economically viable, for at least folks with deep pockets. Some of these AI designs are jaw dropping IMHO.

First things first. I'd like to thank Ryan for turning the spotlight on us and glad to see him enjoying Midjourney as well.

You're all probably curious why 'Zeltango' was even started. I do not view AI generated images as art. I'm purely showcasing the computers imagination guided by the words of a traditional car nut. I have one goal. To build these cars to give them away to our supporters. Our first giveaway car is almost completed. I am using this AI account to generate some cash flow to fund these cars. I've grown up building hot rods and kustoms and will continue to do so. There is no scam or malicious intent here. Just a love for classic cars. Welcome @ZELTANGO, I have never seen this technology applied as our Hamb membership did today...

I understand you are capable of making scalable Models of any Car or any object we have seen here.

So the imagery that has been generated here and witnessed created only by a description/story is visually 2D but is actually generated in a 3D environment or comparable which enables printing of the objects?

Am I correct?

If so what material are you making these vehicles from...plastic...metal...

I've seen videos of it applied to metal shaping...

You can understand why Artist's/Writers have concerns though as AI is like their brains and it's 8 bucks a month...and creates on the backs of all Artists.

I noted Ryan did a work of an Artist he felt could pass as their work...just sign it and sell it as one...I know he is above that of course but the world is not Ryan...

That is the concern...

That Artist has literally been replicated...

I like the technology and won't let it stop my primitive creativity...

 

I'm starting from the bottom here. The Ai only creates a flat image. It's up to me to take vintage metal to stitch together new bodies. If we gain enough support I'd go full production line status. Until then I'll lovingly craft each one by hand.

 

Just looking at your Oliver grille shell. What did you see when you decided to use it? Here's mine that I started some time ago.

You may not view it as Art but if you can produce imagery that is barely discernable from an existing or previously existing Artists work they sell or are commissioned to do, it is actually making their efforts redundant...

The only reason the technology can reproduce near clones is their work was right clic saved on the web without consent and spun into technology and regurgitated in stunning fashion with enough subtle differences to get over copyright...

I know Copyright is complex and Joe Artist would spend their life savings fighting the producers of this software...so here we are...

Again it's easy to have fun and make stuff like Hotrod/Customs but I also see Artists with Careers having to think about what to do next...by that I mean laid of permanently...

The Companies making this software talk around it with amazing grace too...

I still have skills AI won't touch so I soldier on...If I see a near splitting image of my Artistic hand I'll have a happy moment with myself knowing it had something from my 0wn originality and hands involved to render it...

People who use it don't really think about those losing their highly trained careers around it either...it's just fun...and I get it...Again these results are Art to me...modern I suppose but Art none the less...

 

I like what you're up to Alan...in my limited knowledge of AI...I'd say the masses of information downloaded into the program perhaps summoned upon by @ZELTANGO saying Oliver or Tractor Grill as part of the Hotrod he prompted just generates exactly that...is it spot on dimensionally...could be if digital information with OEM dimensions was involved...

I look forward to his strategy that produce that digital/AI image

 

So you are a Fabricator Car Guy with a shop with the traditional tooling...the AI is the 2D visual...I suppose to get around a non 3D environment you have to do a Top, Side, Front and Rear view/image to aid in Fabrication...

Digital Drivetrain = Whatever
Body = OEM/Fab
Chassis = OEM/Custom/Aftermarket
Really it can be whatever with the image as a guideline...

I see you provided 3 angles...it looks totally viable as a buildable oddball Hotrod...and back then as today they were a part of the culture.

Is there software that takes these images and models it in 3D that function as simple as inputting the file?

We've seen Machines forming to scale here...AI with advanced features and capabilities...

I enjoyed it...and hopefully the Thread will continue...it's breathtaking and stunning...

Jeff's test proves to me I could be fooled even though I got the order correct...

Some say it's not Art, I would have difficulty discerning the two...just me...Some of the stuff looked like a Story in Heavy Metal Magazine...

What you see below, are some internal parts, from a vintage Underwood #5 manual typewriter from back in the day, when every writer or "human person's" that worked at newspapers, had one of these heavy monsters on their desk.
I took one of these apart, and its cool and comical, how the pieces can form a whimsical mechanical smile, in three dimensions !

You had me hitting the image and enlarging it and I'm looking for something......and I found it ...the post above saying to hit full image...

 

Was this in one of the Images Ryan generated? We have been enlightened there are intermittent flaws...but these can be overcome by changing info and regenerating I believe...or not?

One thing for sure digital bugs can be very visually unusual but this almost reminds me of double exposures in film...
