Found a box of Flathead transmission gears, from the lifetime collection of a friend. Poked around the internet and it looks like 25 teeth on the big cluster gear and 19 teeth on the input gear makes these Zephyr gears. Is that correct? Thank you! Bob

Yes on the 25 and 19, and I think they also had a 26/18 combination as well.

If there is a second gear there as well it would have 24 teeth. The LZ second gear really makes a lightweight roadster or coupe really wind out.

They came in 25 and 26 tooth, 26 being the faster set.

I bought a real nice original paint 47 Zepher. The guy I bought it from drove it home yanked the trans and resold the car within a week. I tried for a couple months to find another trans with no luck. A guy restoring a Continental bought it from me for the flawless front sheetmetal. I wish I had pulled the V12.

Yes, you have all three of the important gears (LZ). The second gear of 24T is still on the main shaft. The only gear missing in your pic is 1st /rev sliding gear. But that one is used in every transmission from 39 to 48. so finding good one for your gearbox will be easy.
