Just delivered from the RM Sotheby's Auburn auction several years ago. Chopped folding top.

Yeah, after pic for sure! (distracted by yoga pants, ) Lose the sweater. Once had a shiny Klaxon horn w/ headlight bar mount but my car didn't look like a Ford with it on. One of them 'less is more' deals.

Continental. 41 would be mine, but with 40 grilles yet imagine this. The Continental was gently sectioned and channelled. Hood was thinner, doors bigger, body dropped over the framing, fenders n skirts trimmed off at the bottom. It would be a lot of work, and while it has never been a deal breaker I always thought the Zeph 3W had just a bit too much ass. Yeah, I said it, too much. BUT, if you took the lead from "Bob" Gregorie and did a 3W with his proportions? Bigger doors, flatter hood, a little less ass, same sleek profile. Full framed 3W doors too, not a cheater hardtop gig like a Continental coupe. I can't photoshop. 3W Continental. The added roof would make up for no chop too. Just a bit more visual mass. Ok, small chop, 2" or less. Am I outta my rabid ass mind? No, I don't have enough time in my life to do it but there you go.

I really like that cleaner non clutter look after the lights and the sign mascarading as a plate were removed.
I'm not sure if it is regional, ethnic, old man or looking at way too many issues of Lowrider magazne but that add more damned clutter than good sense allows seems to be getting worse rather than better lately.
Remembering those Model A resto rodders back in the 70's who added every trinket and piece of fru fru ever made for a Model A to their cars. Even the hard core restorers groaned at the amout of clutter stuck on those cars.

Mid-30s-early 40s cars, not just Lincolns were about damn near perfect design-wise. 1937-Lincoln-front-right-e1642008363310.jpg
