Greetings! I'm Al, alias Zerk. And there's really only one constant interest in my life, no doubt the one that pursues you as well - the love of cars. At the moment, I don't have anything interesting in the garage. I'd LIKE there to be a nailhead-powered Studebaker coupe in there, or an early Cad-powered '50 Ford. Or a '57 Pontiac built "doorslammer" style, like Ramon Lowe's. Or a '35 Fordor sedan with a built 21-stud flathead and Columbia axle. Or a '55 F100 with a 392. But none of those are out there. They are only in my mind. That's one reason I joined the HAMB...constant reminders that I need to get to work on something cool. And, if that doesn't get me busy, I'll have all the other HAMBers' projects to fuel my passion till I get a project of my own. For my purpose there couldn't be a better place to learn and contribute. I would say I'll try to give back as much as I've already gotten from lurking the HAMB...but that's impossible. Thanks for making this place, Ryan. Thanks for keeping it within sane boundaries, moderators. Thanks for constantly challenging my pedestrian ideas about how great cars are built, HAMBers. Al A.
Hi Zerk, Welcome to the HAMB! Enjoyed reading your bio and intro. Good luck in getting yourself a project. Cathy H.
Thanks, y'all. This is really something I never thought I'd do...registering on the HAMB. I saw so many newbies get verbally disemboweled on the old board that I stayed a lurker for 2+ years. Now that it's my turn, nice to get such a great welcome! Thanks again. All the best, Al A.
