I guess I first got interested in cars in the early '70's when my Dad was a partner in the local GM dealership. I got to tag along to a few auto shows, and the new model year cars often ended up in our driveway as "demos". Later on in High School I would to hang out at the showroom, help with parts inventory, all that good stuff. That was all fine and good until I met a schoolmate in who drove some REAL cars; a '65 Impala SS, '54 Ford 2-door hardtop, etc. - and that sealed the deal. From then on, many evenings and weekends were spent wrenching on old cars and parts hunting with a bunch of buddies in our newly formed car club. Since then, several old cars have came and went, but I still have the friends I made from being involved in this hobby. Looks like there are similar stories here at the H.A.M.B., and I am looking forward to hearing about the projects, and being in a Car Club again!
