RTS1

I started working at my Uncles garage when I was 16. I started working on cars (oil changes, lube, fix flats) and bought my first car from my Uncle- a 1954 Ford. It was light green and I sprayed grey primer on the rust spots on the body. It looked like a spotted frog. It had a V-8 with a 2 bbl carb. It was an automatic. It was the most useless piece of crap around, but it ran. Not fast, but steady. I had to put it in low gear to move until I got enough speed to shift into drive. Stopped great, just no guts for speed. I did get a speeding ticket once. I started on one side of town and got all the lights green at once. I had enough speed to get over an overpass and as I was going over it, I passed a police paddy wagon on the way down. The stopped me and were going to write me up for speeding but the felt sorry for me and the car and just yelled at me. They did call my house and told my Mom. She just laughed about my "speeding" in that car. I next bought a '55 Chevy with new Kelly Green paint. Nice shiny mags. Hot rod car. I fixed it up and drove it till I got married a couple of years later. Traded it in for a new car- a '69 Firebird. Drove it till I got drafted into the Army two days after I got married. Spoiled the honeymoon. Fast forward 30 years till 2000. I found and purchased the '55 I have now. My wife and I have owned this car since then and have put new interior, a new 350 crate motor, power steering, tilt wheel, new steering wheel, a new 700r4 trans. with overdrive, air conditioning, disk brakes on the front. Just needs paint and chrome now. I have another '55 Chevy 4 door car for sale if anyone is interested. The car is located in Northern California. Yeah, just another old car goat looking for places to play with my car.
