SAFU

Father was a mechanic who owned a full-service Texaco back when that meant we worked on everything up to and including engine rebuilds. I was wrenching on cars as free labor for my father by the time I was 14. Went on to work as a delivery boy and counterman at a local parts house/automotive repair shop for a couple of years. The lead mechanic was something of a local car genius and often worked on cars like Gene Snow's "Rambunctious." No I ain't an expert, but I used to know some.
