I've had my Scout since 1979. It was my first vehicle, bought in high school from a farmer who couldn't read or write and never believed we sent man to the moon ("Just a Hollywood stunt", he said).

Plowed snow with it during college. Has been painted a few times. Has a Rancho 2" suspension lift, new body bushings for some add'l height, original (rebuilt) 152, new wiring. Overall looks good at a distance. Has some rattles & rust.

I love the stories you hear from people that you meet when you drive it. It seems everyone has a story about a Scout. The most common things I hear are "You can't stop them", and "They can climb a tree".
