I'm 50 years old and have been in love with drag racing since the early 70's. I got my first "whiff" at the old Pocono Drag Lodge in Bear Creek, PA back in 1972... and I've loved it ever since. I drag raced for 7 years at my cycle club's local track... ran a highly modified 1973 Kawasaki H1 500cc 2-stroke triple! Scary fast! My wife and I go to Englishtown and Maple Grove every year when the NHRA is in town! My ambition is to locate and restore a funny car from the 70's. There's got to be one hiding in a garage/barn somewhere around NE PA being that we had so many racers and tracks in this area. I've followed this message board now for the past 4 years, and now I want to join!
